I had the immense honor and privilege of being a part of Sonja's care during her illness. To say she was a woman of great strength and grace would be an understatement -- she was arguably, the most graceful patient I have ever cared for. I am changed as a physician, and a woman, for having known her.

I send my love and sympathy to your whole family.

I will not forget her.
